quotes for today

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose
them, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been
missing until we realized.

BOYCOTT OR NOT?

BISMILLAHIRRAHMANIRRAHIM

Gaza and Palestinians continued to be attacked by Israel. Israel responsible for this attack continues to act outside the bounds rapacious humanity and international law in advancing the agenda of the establishment of greater Israel.

As a citizen of Malaysia, what should I do to help Gaza and Palestinians? Should I boycott every single product that own by Israel?

Take for instance, McDonald's. In my point of view, is not all that eating McDonald's support for Israel and not boycott McDonald's also called as true Muslims.

Besides, it seems increasingly debated this issue on social sites. There are many people who do not agree, and at the same times, there are many who agree to boycott Israeli goods.

In the Qur'an, there are no words or sentence telling the laws of eating McDonald's can make a great sinner. For me, it's an individual's right to boycott or not. Moreover, the government itself is not mention to boycott Israeli products. From verse 'Boycott' itself it is as a protest or show signs of 'non-support' on any matter. So, it depends on the intention. If the intention of we do not want to eat McDonald's or use the goods of Israel because we want to show hatred against the enemies of Islam in the works and also looking pleased with Allah, In shaa Allah, we can get reward from Him.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE NASREDDIN HODJA? IS HE INTELLIGENT? IS HE A LIKEABLE PERSON? WHY OR WHY NOT?

Nasreddin Hodja is a teacher in Turkish. is he intelligent? As for me, Nasreddin Hodja is not totally intelligent . This is because he always talk too proudly about something. Hmm...the part that Nasreddin Hodja seem intelligent is when he manage to make his friends believe him that he did not used the candle to warm himself. On the other words, he is good at teaching his friend a lesson because they did not trust him.Other than that, is he a likeable person?  He is not a likeable person because of the reason that i had mention before which is he always be proud when talking about something.

What are some of the advantages of buying new things instead of fixing old things? Discuss different items and the advantages of buying the items new.  (pg 134)

People nowadays throw away things when they are broken rather than repair or recycle them as they did in the past. Some people consider that this trend is a signal of the modern life, and it is indispensable. There are some of the advantages of buying new things instead of fixing old things. Firstly, buying new things have the best quality than fixing old things. Usually new things have upgrade new features than old things did not have. For example, the latest versions of hand phone have Global Positioning System (GPS) while the old versions of hand phone totally not have it. Don’t make our life in trouble by using old things. Moreover, buying new things is better because if we fixing old things usually it spend high cost when repairing it. For example, we buy a laptop, and when it starts slowing down instead of uninstalling some programs or cleaning up the hard drive, we buy a new one. It also saves our time just for repair the old things. Besides that, when living standard is upgraded, it also means that incomes are higher and people can afford more goods they like. It means that people will throw away the old things because they just love the new things because it is upgraded and trendy. I believe this is become trend to the society. However, it also can cause some problems without we recognize it. When people like new goods than old or repaired one, it means that the life cycle of products is reduced. We should think the pro and cons of buying new things or fixing the old things. In conclusion, this trend at the moment can be a positive signal showing that people have a better life. However, in the future, it will also be a potential threat to humankind's life. So, let’s just think for our better life.
